Implementing the unemployed client-free zone project in Tehran in cooperation with Raad Al-Ghadir

The Deputy Minister and Head of the National Welfare Organization said: “We are ready to implement the plan of a zone free of unemployed clients in one of the districts of Tehran, in cooperation with the Ra’ad al-Ghadir Charity Foundation.”

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department, Dr. Seyed Javad Hosseini, Deputy Minister and Head of the National Welfare Organization, visited the Ra’ad al-Ghadir Charity Institute this morning.

During this visit, he referred to the Welfare Organization’s empowerment and skills training program and said: “We are currently taking care of 8,500 children, each of whom must learn a skill based on their interests, talents, and the needs of society when they turn 18.”

The head of the welfare organization emphasized: “We have invested all our efforts in skills training and empowerment so that our clients can have a job and a quality life after they leave.”

Referring to the skills training and employment of beneficiaries at the Ra’ad Al-Ghadir Charity Institute, he said: “We are happy that what the welfare organization aims to achieve and is part of our programs is being implemented in this institution. In this institution, we see that beneficiaries are taught the skills they are interested in, in line with their talents and the needs of society, and they are employed in this institution.”

Referring to the social integration that has taken place at the Ra’ad Al-Ghadir Charity Foundation, he added: “We are witnessing that people with disabilities are working alongside healthy people. We must know that rehabilitation services will not be beneficial if they do not end up with social identification and the idea of being useful in society.”

Dr. Hosseini also said about the Welfare Organization’s program to create sustainable jobs for clients: “The most important issue after skill training and placement is creating job opportunities, and for this purpose, the Welfare Organization provides 16 Hemat facilities.”

Stating that self-employment facilities do not lead to sustainable employment, he emphasized: “According to statistics, facilities in the form of employers have led to sustainable employment, and accordingly, the Welfare Organization, in the plan for areas free of unemployed clients, intends to support the formation of companies and cooperatives with client shareholding and pay self-employment loans to the cooperative according to the number of these clients.”

The head of the country’s welfare organization continued: “By forming these cooperatives, beneficiaries both participate in the added value of the company or cooperative’s shares and receive salaries.”

He announced his readiness to implement, in cooperation with the Ra’ad al-Ghadir Charity Foundation, a plan for areas free of unemployed clients with a capacity of 500 clients in one of the areas of Tehran.

Referring to the 3-wheeler project, Dr. Hosseini also said: “In this project, special 3-wheelers will be produced for clients with the ability to transport and sell goods so that clients, in coordination with the municipality, can settle in areas of the city and sell their desired products.”

He added: “In this project, 3 cycles are prepared with the efforts of donors so that the client can achieve financial self-sufficiency. We also welcome cooperation with the Ra’ad Al-Ghadir Institute in implementing this project.”
