Irancell and Raad Al-Ghadir collaborate in the field of empowering people with disabilities

Irancell and the Ra’ad Al-Ghadir Charity Foundation signed an agreement to provide employment preparation courses for people with disabilities with the support of Irancell, with the aim of empowering people with disabilities.

According to Irancell Public Relations, this agreement was signed on December 13, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and focuses on providing specialized and professional training opportunities in fields appropriate to the digital space and the conditions of people with disabilities, in order to improve the knowledge and skills of these people to accept specialized work positions in professional work environments and be a step towards achieving social and economic inclusion.

This training program is planned for four specialized courses, in the form of 14,000 hours of training, for 200 people with disabilities, “with an investment of 15 billion rials” by Irancell.

Raad Al-Ghadir Charitable Foundation is a specialized organization that offers extensive career preparation courses to empower people with disabilities.

The goal of this Corporate Social Investment (CSI) project is to provide specialized employment readiness training courses that give individuals the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in specialized job positions.

Irancell has previously planned and implemented projects and programs in the areas of “education and accessibility” and “employment” for people with disabilities.

In 2020, Irancell launched the country’s first deaf call center with the aim of improving the accessibility of call center services, which has so far resulted in answering more than 72,000 deaf calls in sign language. In this project, Irancell has interacted with NGOs specializing in this field, including the Iranian Deaf Family Association.

Also in 2024, Irancell began assessing the accessibility status of its 17 main centers and stores nationwide, with the aim of improving accessibility for people with disabilities. Raad Charity Educational Complex (a non-governmental organization specializing in the field of people with disabilities) is partnering with Irancell in this project.

In addition, Irancell Integrated Communication Network (Shaya), by allocating 6% of its workforce to the disabled community, has selected some of its colleagues from among these people in the cities of Tehran, Mashhad, Tabriz, Zanjan, and Kurdistan.

According to Irancell’s grand strategy, all members of society deserve to benefit from the direct and indirect benefits of modern communication technologies and digital life. In the area of sustainability, Irancell is committed to reducing the digital divide, making modern communication services accessible to all citizens, promoting knowledge-based businesses, and providing platforms for the growth of the digital economy.
